Welcoming Six New Consultants to Our Practice

We are excited to announce that Academic Search has welcomed four associate consultants and two consultants to our team, each with a diverse background in higher education: Wendy Kallina, Jandi Kelly, Jordan Horvath, Tracy Bartlett Lively, Carly Place, and Lindsey Walke.    

As our executive search practice continues to keep pace with the past two years of growth, we are delighted to expand our team to enhance our support for our ongoing searches.  

Meet Our New Team Members:

Wendy Kallina

Wendy Kallina, Ph.D.

Consultant

Dr. Kallina brings over two decades of faculty and administrative experience from various institutions, with a focus on institutional research and data analytics. Her background includes roles such as Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Executive Director of Institutional Research. She has extensive involvement in professional associations and contributions to the field of higher education through publications and workshops. 

Jandi Kelly

Jandi Kelly, Ph.D.

Consultant

Dr. Kelly has spent 15 years in higher education as a researcher, instructor, consultant, and administrator at top universities including the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and the University of Michigan, where she earned her Ph.D. in higher education. Her academic research centers on teaching, learning, life purpose, and academic/student affairs. Her work has been published in prestigious journals like The Journal of Higher Education and presented at national and international conferences.

Jordan Horvath

Jordan Horvath

Associate Consultant

Ms. Horvath brings her expertise in research and communication as well as over a decade of experience in higher education and adjacent fields. Her background includes assessing written communication skills in academic and professional settings, teaching writing courses, and freelance editing. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and philosophy from SUNY Fredonia and a master’s in English from Purdue University. 

Tracy Bartlett Lively

Tracy Bartlett Lively

Associate Consultant

Ms. Lively held positions in admissions management, recruiting, and executive support at various secondary and higher educational institutions. She served most recently as the Transfer Admissions Coordinator and then Assistant to the President at Roanoke College where she was the recipient of the Service to All Roanoke award for her exceptional job performance and making a positive difference in the College and local community. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maryland. 

Carly Place

Carly Place

Associate Consultant

Ms. Place brings a wealth of experience from a nearly decade-long career in higher education. She was an Academic Advisor at the University of Central Florida, where she also led the Developing Athletic Advisors Program, fostering strong student-athlete relationships and professional development. Additionally, Ms. Place worked at East Carolina University in the Office of Student Development and holds an M.B.A. from East Carolina University and a B.S. in sport management from Mount St. Mary’s University.

Lindsey Walke

Lindsey Walke

Associate Consultant

Ms. Walke brings over 20 years of experience in higher education, including serving as Director of Human Resources at a private institution. Her diverse background also encompasses positions in the Ministry of Defense and the hospitality and offshore drilling industries. She holds an M.S. in human resource management and a B.A. in management from Charleston Southern University.
