The President and community of Saint Elizabeth University (SEU) in Morristown, NJ, invite inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA). The University seeks a forward-thinking and collaborative leader who combines a deep passion for the mission of Saint Elizabeth University and its diverse student body with the financial acumen to provide strategic leadership for all financial and business affairs of the University, including Business Operations, Dining Services, Facilities, Conferences and Events, Human Resources, Campus Security, and Risk Management.
The University seeks a VPFA with the skill set and experience to support effectively: a) the implementation of the University’s mission of access, success, and economic mobility for its diverse student body; b) the development and implementation of strategic financial planning for the short- and long-term success and sustainability of this mission; c) the effective leadership and management of the institution’s Business Operations, Dining Services, Facilities, Conferences and Events, Human Resources, Campus Security, and Risk Management.
The VPFA has fiduciary responsibility for all University resources and will, as a strategic partner, communicate and collaborate regularly with the other members of the University’s senior cabinet as well as academic deans, faculty, staff, students, and community leaders to ensure the effective stewardship of said resources as a part of the University’s on-going commitment to student success. The VPFA will continually assess the University’s economic, demographic, and competitive landscape as well as national, state, and regional conditions to conduct and share financial analysis and planning that will inform strategic decision-making. The VPFA will understand grant accounting and control over grant revenue and expenses and possess the skills and sensibilities to lead in a team-oriented environment across multiple administrative areas, to implement a broad vision, to handle ambiguity and competing interests and details, and to communicate effectively in public.
