The Rudolph H. Raabe College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University invites inquiries, applications, and nominations for the next dean. Leading one of the largest colleges of pharmacy in the nation, the successful candidate will be able to imagine new possibilities for the College. The new dean will build upon the College’s rich 138-year history to lead the faculty in developing and realizing a transformational impact on pharmacy education and the College’s future. The dean is a proven innovator well-versed in the contemporary trends in pharmacy practice, pharmacy education, and, more importantly, within the broad healthcare ecosystem.
The College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and features a direct entry (0-6) PharmD degree, and a 4-year PharmD pathway. Students earn a BS in Integrated Health Sciences on the way to the direct entry PharmD degree. The College also offers a new BS degree in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences. With 35 full-time faculty and more than 600 students from across the nation and around the world, the College is focused on being a global leader in contemporary pharmacy education. As a leader of the academic enterprise, the dean will possess an earned terminal degree in the healthcare or related sciences and ideally a record of teaching and research commensurate with an appointment to the College faculty with tenure. Candidates who, while not possessing such a track record within the academy, have demonstrated the ability to lead diverse groups and programs to substantially enhanced levels of distinction and productivity in a highly collaborative environment are also welcome to apply.
