Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) invites inquiries, nominations, and applications in their search for a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative leader to serve as the Vice President of Enrollment (VPE). Located in Delaware, Ohio and in close proximity to Columbus, Ohio Wesleyan University is a private, liberal arts, residential institution charged with a distinctive purpose of providing every student with transformational experiences. Serving over 1,400 students, OWU offers degree programs through 19 academic departments, 70 majors, and several interdisciplinary programs. The Vice President of Enrollment is expected to assume office in late Summer 2023.
Reporting to President Elect Dr. Matthew vandenBerg, the Vice President of Enrollment will provide vision and leadership in advancing the overall enrollment goals and oversee recruitment and financial aid. In addition to focusing on the recruitment of new students, the Vice President will also partner in the development and implementation of an effective retention and student success program. As a member of the President’s Senior Leadership Team and Cabinet, the Vice President will work in close collaboration with other senior administrators in enrollment strategy across the institution.
The VPE oversees the Enrollment team of 19 members, consisting of Admission and Financial aid staff. The VPE is responsible for creating a strategic vision, providing comprehensive leadership, effective planning, program development, budget oversight, data analysis, and institutional coordination in the areas of enrollment management and student recruitment. OWU seeks a VPE who will engage strategically with campus partners, collaborate in the development of recruitment and retention strategies, and be driven to exceed goals.
