North Dakota State University, a land-grant institution ranked by the National Science Foundation (NSF) as North Dakota’s only top-100 research university, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for its next Dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences. The College of Health and Human Sciences includes more than 2,600 undergraduate and graduate students and offers students paths to prepare for rewarding careers that help others improve their health and well-being. The Dean will serve as the chief executive academic officer of the College and report to the Provost. The appointee is expected to take office in July 2024.
NDSU is located in the vibrant and growing city of Fargo, North Dakota. North Dakota has been one of the fastest growing states in the country over the past decade. The metropolitan area of Fargo, West Fargo, and Moorhead, MN has been the vanguard of that growth, with a population of more than 260,000. Residents of Fargo enjoy a fantastic quality of life with the city continuously earning numerous national awards.
The newly named College of Health and Human Sciences began July 1, 2023, with the merger of the College of Health Professions and the College of Human Sciences. The College offers programs in seven areas: Allied Sciences; Counselor Education; Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences; Human Development and Family Sciences; Nursing; Pharmacy; and Public Health. The College focuses on team- based education, offering undergraduate and graduate level degrees and certificates in multiple programs through on-site and online opportunities.
