Alamo Colleges District (ACD), located in San Antonio and one of the largest community college districts in the nation, invites nominations and applications for the position of Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Student Career Development, Engagement, Employment, and Leadership. The AVC reports to the Vice Chancellor for Student Success in support of the ACD award winning system which includes Palo Alto College, Northwest Vista College, San Antonio College, St. Philip’s College, Northeast Lakeview College, and off-campus locations throughout the San Antonio metropolitan area. ACD’s diverse community includes Hispanic Serving Institutions as well as an Historically Black College and University that in total provides higher education to more than 100,000 students.
The AVC leads the strategic direction of career services, student engagement, experiential learning, and leadership development programs across the district’s five colleges. The role encompasses programming to diverse populations, creating community partnerships, analyzing data in support of student success and employment outcomes all to advance Alamo Colleges’ vision of empowering students to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.
