Nevada State College (www.nsc.edu) invites applications, nominations, and inquiries for the position of Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences to begin June 2020. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic professional to join a young, growing, and vibrant college as the leader of its largest school, the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS).
Reporting directly to the Provost and Executive Vice President, this position serves as the chief academic officer for the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, responsible for vision and planning, fiduciary decisions, administration, personnel, academic leadership, curricular offerings, teaching, undergraduate research, professional and organizational development, governance, diversity and inclusion, and outreach for the school. Reporting directly to the position are an associate dean, four department chairs, a director of academic operations, an administrative assistant, and a director of undergraduate research.
