The University of Lynchburg seeks a collaborative leader and their next Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness (VPIE). The successful candidate will have experience in higher education, familiarity with multiple data platforms, and a successful record of working with teams and communicating across large systems. The VPIE will be charged to lead the following functions for the University: strategic planning, accreditation, institutional assessment and data integration.

The University of Lynchburg is a private university in Central Virginia enrolling about 2,000 undergraduate students in professional and liberal arts study, and more than 1,000 graduate students in master’s and doctoral programs. Founded in 1903, the University of Lynchburg is one of the oldest colleges in Virginia to be coeducational from its founding. University of Lynchburg seeks a visionary leader with the experience, knowledge, and interpersonal skills to lead the institutional assessment, data integration, strategic planning, and accreditation efforts. The VPIE needs to have strong data management and communication skills to consolidate and centralize and advance data collection and use across the University. As the chief institutional effectiveness officer and a member of the Executive Council, the Vice President oversees all research and assessment, accreditation, data management and strategic planning functions for the University. The VPIE supervises the Director of Institutional Research and Analytics, and will have the opportunity to hire 2 additional employees to build the necessary team to achieve the areas outlined in the leadership agenda below.
