John F. Williams
John F. Williams most recently served as the 16th president of SUNY Downstate Medical Center as well as professor of anesthesiology, critical care medicine, and public health at Downstate. Previously, Dr. Williams was senior vice provost and vice president for health affairs at The George Washington University, and served as dean of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences and vice president for graduate medical education, and associate and assistant dean for admissions for the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He was a member of the faculty for 28 years and is professor emeritus.
Dr. Williams earned a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University, a Master of Science from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a Master of Public Health from Yale University, and Doctorates of Medicine and Education from The George Washington University.
