Elizabeth “Beth” Baker received her bachelor’s degree in Art from Eastern Washington University and a master’s degree in Education with a focus on Adult Student Retention and Persistence. She has over 15 years of higher education experience with the majority of her time spent in student affairs. Beth is a firm believer in education and understands the importance of college completion, having been a non-traditional student herself. She is an advocate for adults seeking to return to college, and understands the dynamics of career, life, and personal changes that may have hindered a student’s completion. Part of that completion solution is having support units on college campuses that focus on adults and nontraditional student needs in the ever-changing world of higher education. She is excited to be a part of the Academic Search team and looks forward to continuing her lifelong learning journey within this position and in working with a fantastic group of individuals who are passionate and know the importance of strong leadership in higher education. Beth lives in rural Southern Missouri, enjoys the outdoors, gardening, and the local wildlife.
