Dr. Timothy P. Mottet served as the President of Colorado State University Pueblo from 2017–2023. While at CSU Pueblo, he and his colleagues renovated the university from the inside out, creating what Forbes magazine recognized as “one of the country’s up-and-coming Hispanic Serving Institutions.” He was awarded President Emeritus by his governing board, recognizing his contributions to the university.
Dr. Mottet has co-authored four books and published more than 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. His research examines the intersections of communication, personality, and cognition and their application to instructional, organizational, and interpersonal contexts.
He regularly provides communication, leadership, and organizational training and development to clients in the aerospace, retail, higher education, medical, finance, and transportation industries, as well as numerous nonprofit organizations. He is also a certified trainer for the Franklin Covey group.
Dr. Mottet and his spouse enjoy entertaining, exploring New Orleans’ French Quarter, volunteering at animal shelters, collecting art, and scuba diving.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from William Jewell College, a Master of Science from Boston University, and a Doctor of Education from West Virginia University.
