Dr. Pamela Balch joined Academic Search in 2017 as a senior consultant. She has conducted many searches for both public and private institutions including positions for Presidents, Vice Presidents, Deans, and Directors. Prior to her work with Academic Search, Dr. Balch’s career in higher education involved experience as faculty, Director of Graduate Programs, Associate Dean, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice Provost and President. She spent ten years in the California State University system at San Diego State, the Chancellor’s Office in Long Beach, and Chico State University. During that tenure she was named Teacher Educator of the Year for California, was selected as an ACE Fellow, and was named Imperial County Woman of the Year. She served as President of two institutions (public and private) for Mayville State University in North Dakota and West Virginia Wesleyan College. She chaired numerous national boards, athletic conferences, and presented at national conferences.
Pamela Balch received her bachelor’s degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and her masters and doctoral degrees from West Virginia University. She has two post graduate certificates from Harvard University.
